HANNES TRAUTLOFT AND WANDERZISKUS JANKE- ARTICLES
You can find my article about early military career of Hannes Trautloft in August issue of newsletter published as free magazine by Eduard company. The starting point for this article was Trautloft´s Emil from Polish campaign. When I was working on this topic I was surprised how colorful military career had Hannes Trautloft before the WW II. The file is having ca 9 MB http://www.eduard.cz/info/download/files/info_eduard_august_2010.pdf I hope you will enjoy it. Jan Bobek Anders Hjortsberg kindly provided some of his color profiles as well as text description. The Trautloft´s machines he has selected are also colorful. In the cover picture for this "blog topic" I selected most of "skins" prepared by Anders for WWII simulation Il-2 Sturmovik. Please feel free to visit his website: http://www.cptfarrels.com/ JG 54 emblems are prepared by Jan Zdiarsky, one of the leading personalities behind special museum dedicated to air battle over Ore Mountains (Kru¹né Hory / Erzgebirge) on Sept 11, 1944. Last but not least, the cover photo is taken from Bundesarchiv online database. Hannes Trautloft is posing in his tennis shorts and T-shirt in fron of his He-51 in summer 1936 during first weeks of Spanish civil war. FOCKE-WULF FW 190 D-11- ARTICLES
I wrote an article about origin and operational services of the Fw 190 D-11 for monthly newsletter of Czech company Eduard. It features late war variant of Fw 190 D-11 and presents short introduction into its development and operational history. Also Günther Rall, a 3rd ranking world´s figher pilot, seems to play quite significant role in history of this late war "Würger". Please note that file is having 20 MB size http://www.eduard.cz/info/download/files/info_eduard_june_2010_final.pdf The cover picture is provided by http://www.cptfarrels.com/Fw-190D-11/Fw-190D-11.html 28.09.2007
STATUS OF WORK- CZECH EDITIONDear all, I am sure that many of you are curious what is happening to my work on Heinz Bär book. I had difficult last 12 months due to some issues in my family. My last work on manuscript was done in March but I am about to restart soon. However good news is that in the meantime I managed to collect some nice original photos, either depicting Bär or related to JG 51 in 1940. I am currently working on biography article for REVI magazine focusing to Joachim-Friedrich Huth, member of Jasta 14 during Great War and Kommodore of ZG 26 in WW II. This exciting job will naturally consume part my free time capacity. Two years ago I published in REVI an artical about last flight of Hermann-Friedrich Joppien (Kdr of I./JG 51). Some Czech and Russian researchers were kind enough to help me identify VVS air units that were most likely involved in the mysterious engagement. I intend to publish my research on this weblog Horrido! Jan Cely clanek 22.11.2006
